There are a further five illustrations, including one half-page. The white card covers are printed red and black, and the inside back cover carries an advertisement for "Prodexin". £5.00

The white card covers are printed blue - the front with a sketch of the Observatory, and the back cover with a map. Visitors MUST bring their Ration Books. There are exhaustive descriptions of the Observatory, transport, accommodation, etc, etc. £5.00

The inside of the front cover lists the Trustees, etc, etc, headed "The Scottish Ornathologists' Club, Fair Isle Bird Observatory Trust". The white card covers are printed blue - the front with a map showing the autumn migration. Pages 11, 13, and 15 are detachable Bankers' Orders, and page 11 has been neatly detached at the perforations. £5.00

5631. Frohawk, F.W: Birds of the British Isles Junior Field Guides No 1.

London: Ward Lock & Co. 1957. 96 pp. illustrated with colour plates. The book is in very good condition but the dustwrapper is torn with loss at the bottom rear cover. The ability to identify birds in the field is a skill that any child can acquire, in fact at the end of the first season's watching the young observer should be quite expert. £6.00

Some text has a short underline presumably to mark items in a collection. In very good condition. Collecting such eggs today is now prohibited of course. £16.00

An atlas to the summer, winter and resident distributions of 639 species of bird in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, with the breeding ranges of 167 species from adjoining areas to show patterns of distribution across Eurasia as a whole. Salmon pub. 1899, 48pp. No. 29 American Breeds of Fowls 1 The Plymouth Rock, by T.F. McGrew pub. 1901, 32pp. No. 31 American Breeds of Fowls II The Wyandotte, by T.F. McGrew, pub.1901, 30pp. No. 64 Ducks and Geese Standard Breeds and Management by George E. Salmon, pub. 1895. 90pp. All are extensively illustrated, no. 29 has 6 beautiful full page chromolithographic colour plates, no. 31 has 10 chromolithographs, no. 8 has 1 chromolithigraph plate and five other plates. There is minor wear to spine extremities and a little wear to the bottom of the back cover, internally in very good condiition, bright, clean, no annotations, overall a very nice copy of these early agricultural bulletins with beautiful coloured illustrations of these two varieties of bird. £125.00
