Bruxelles n.d. c.1950 - 1955 Five Volumes. 39 by 29 pp. illustrated, maps, no pagination, c.500 pp each, printed on glossy art paper. Generally in very good condition. They cover, Belgium, the Belgian Congo and the mandated territory of Ruanda-Urundi. The archives cover all official and semi-State organisations along with leading companies. Text in French and Flemish, with some English here and there. A very comprehensive official overview a few years before the Congo became independent.. Several volumes have the stamp of the library of The Consulate of the Union of South Africa Elizabethville. They were distributed through Embassies, Legations, Consulates and Belgian Chambers of Commerce. These vols were rescued after Independence, removed to Rhodesia and later to the UK . These volumes are very heavy. £500.00
